Jane's Beer Store Presents:

Breakside, Fitzcarraldo. Here is a beer that we have been eagerly awaiting for the past three years! Last released in 2016, Fitzcarraldo is a special blended beer created by our brewers. The majority of the blend is a Belgian-style dark ale that spend over 22 months in Bourbon barrels. The extended aging allowed for soft and complex flavors to come out -- there are notes reminiscent of maple syrup, prune, cherry cola, molasses, black licorice, raisin, and stewed plums. This was blended with a small portion of barrel-aged stout and a dash of recently finished, unoaked dark beer. 10.9%

Breakside/Fremont, Teamwork/Dreamwork. We're lucky to live and brew in the same region as Fremont Brewing Company. Over the last ten years, we've benefited tremendously from their willingness to share their knowledge and experience with us. Fremont's brewers deftly make a wide range of styles, but it is their expertise in making big-bodied, higher alcohol beers that we wanted to tap into for this collaboration. Together, we've concocted an experimental 'double stout'-- a beer made using a double mashing process, boiled for 3 hours to maximize strength, and conditioned on half a pound of coconut PER GALLON. This is a BIG beer meant to be shared with friends and enjoyed with intention, sit with it, and you'll find layer after layer of flavor-- all included in a beer that is bombastic and balanced, over-the-top yet still refined.⁠ 9.4%

Our Dragon’s Milk Reserve series is the ultimate indulgence. Authentic ingredients, unique barrels, and our brewer’s creativity result in delicious brews that showcase the incredible versatility of Dragon’s Milk. The first Reserve release of 2020 was aged for 3 months in rum barrels imported from Jamaica and finished on nearly 200lbs of chocolate, 1000lbs of hazelnut, and 2500lbs of toasted coconut. Those flavors marry beautifully with notes of warming rum for a truly delicious experience. 12.5%

@moderntimesbeer just teamed up with @burgeonbeer for the second year in a row to release this hazy DIPA!

Divergent Paths. We circled up with the excellent folks at Burgeon Brewing to throw down this totally excellent DIPA. Built on a simple grain bill of pilsner malt, white wheat, and flaked wheat, this beer was hopped with over 3lbs per barrel of Galaxy & Strata. The finished beer sports a vibrant bouquet of tropical dankness followed by notes of papaya & pineapple and rounded out with a subtle bitterness that brings the whole thing home in an immensely pleasing fashion. 8.2%

This week's Alvarado Street Brewery & Grill is now available!

Palio. An Italian-style Pilsner, featuring an unmistakable fresh Noble hop aroma; floral, tea-like, a little spicy and quite elegant. We chose to dry hop this clean lil' nugget of a beer with German Saphir & Hallertau Mittlefruh hops. Extraordinarily drinkable with a zippy bitterness and crisp finish. 5%

Mai Tai PA. Three time GABF medal winner, including gold in 2018! Our drier, decidedly “tropical” IPA that’s light on bitterness, but heavy on hop aroma, courtesy of 100% Mosaic hops. One whiff and you get super intense notes of passion fruit, mango, and lychee. Grain bill of just American two-row malt and a clean fermentation keep it simple and allow these hops to shine. 6.5%

Lushness Splendor. A juicy, double dry hopped Double IPA featuring a hop duo that rocks the olfactory senses. El Dorado hops bring their peach ring, candied melon, life savers-esque dance to pair up with oil-heavy Simcoe lupulin powder and it’s dank tangerine & passionfruit notes. Fermented with a fairly neutral hybrid strain that showcases this pair’s lushness splendor. 8%

Megaparsec. A four hop Triple IPA brewed in collaboration with our friends at Bottle Logic. Galaxy, Citra, El Dorado, Strata take center stage under a fruity fermentation and silky texture from heaps of oats and wheat. 10%

Biggie's Bodacious Banana Split. An Imperial Milk Stout modeled after a banana split, using heaps of cacao, vanilla & banana puree. It’s creamy and luscious from the use of milk sugar, with a banana runt-like character and decadent chocolately notes. Biggie really outdid himself with this one. 10%

2019’s vintage of BA Narwhal from @sierranevada is now available, for the first time in cans!

Barrel-Aged Narwhal is our deliciously dark Imperial Stout aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels. Barrel aging is a strange science; it mellows some characteristics of the original beer while intensifying others. Narwhal’s aggressive roastiness has calmed, but the rich, chocolate-like malt backbone is brought to the fore. Black as midnight, this intense stout is complex with notes of cocoa and espresso balanced with hints of vanilla and toasted coconut from the oak casks. Nearly as rare as it’s nautical namesake, try Barrel-Aged Narwhal while you can because like the creature itself, it will soon dive into the depths and leave nary a trace behind. 11.9%

Cascade Brewing just sent down some vintage sours in celebration of SF Beer Week!

Kentucky Peach 2017. This is a blend of sour wheat and quad ales aged in bourbon and wine barrels for up to 16 months with fresh, Northwest-grown peaches. This limited project offers flavors of ripe peaches and warm bourbon with hints of oak and a light malt sweetness. 9.2%

Cascade, Manhattan NW 2015. This is a blend of sour quad and blond ales aged in bourbon and wine barrels with sour pie cherries and apricot noyaux. A tribute to the classic Manhattan cocktail, this unique sour beer interpretation features flavors of bourbon, maraschino cherry and bitter almond with a rich malt backbone. 10.3%

Cascade, Sang Noir 2016. This is a blend of imperial red ales aged in bourbon and wine barrels for up to two years with Bing Cherries. The darkest in our series of ‘Sang’ projects, Sang Noir features notes of dark roast malts, bourbon, black cherries, and port wine. 10.1%
